The Galaxy S2 has been one of the most successful Android smartphones to date with over 10 million units sold, so its obvious when Android’s latest version comes out, Ice Cream Sandwich would come to the GS2 aswell. And now we finally have a video of a white Galaxy S2 running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. We can’t say if the video is legit or not, but it sure does look legit to me, it has similarities with the previous leak of ICS running on the Galaxy Nexus/Nexus Prime.

The second most anticipated smartphone this fall, after the iPhone 4S is ofcourse the third generation Nexus smartphone, the Nexus Prime. The device was supposed to be unveiled at “Samsung Mobile Unpacked Event 2011″ on October 11th in San Diego but the launch was delayed due to the unfortunate death of Apple’s legendary CEO, Steve Jobs. Samsung has now  sent out invites for the event and it scheduled for the 19th of October at 10:00 am in Hong Kong.

Apple fans have got their fix with the iPhone 4S and launch and many are disappointed, but thankfully us Android junkies still have Google to look up to for the highly anticipated Google phone, the Nexus Prime. Just like the Nexus brought us Gingerbread last year, the Nexus Prime will be showcased at “Samsung Mobile Unpacked Event 2011″ and will run ICS a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich, the next big version of Android OS meant to combine Honeycomb and Gingerbread for a better experience. Now a new video has surfaced on Samsung’s Youtube channel that teases a new phone coming at the upcoming event, it might just be the Nexus Prime considering what we have already heard and the big curved screen near the end. (The nexus prime is rumored to have a 1280 X 720p 4.6″ screen) Whatever it is, we’ll get to finally see it on October 11th at the event.

At the Lets Talk iPhone event today, Apple surprisingly showcased two new apps for iOs5, Cards, and Find My Friends. Through Find My Friends, your friends using iOS5 can opt to share their location with you. You can then locate your friends through the app to see exactly where they are and how far away they are from you and perhaps hook up a meeting or provide directions to  a lost friend. Privacy is a concern ofcourse,  so you can choose to limit the time period during others can see your activity. And then there is the Cards App…

The wait is finally over folks! Apple has finally announced the new iPhone at today’s Media event. Previously it was rumored that we will be getting two new iPhones, however it seems the upcoming phone, is just the iPhone 4S which is an upgraded version of the iPhone 4 with similar design but new specs. As rumored the device has Apple’s dual core A5 chip, an 8MP camera and the same 3.5″ Retina display we all know. However there is much more in the details than that.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is one of those smartphones that stands out from the crowd, quite literally in this case thanks to the huge 5.3″ Super Amoled 1280 X 800 pixel display. The device was expected to launch this fall and now Samsung has announced that a Europe launch is in order before the end of October with major launch events in Germany, UK and France. Samsung’s own country, Korea will be getting the device a month later, although that might seem like a let down for Koreans wanting the device, they will get a bit of exclusivity since the korean Galaxy Note will be packing a 4G LTE radio aswell.
