OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro Are Both Slated for a Q2 2020 Launch, According to One Tipster
The OnePlus 8 launch details were never going to be disclosed by the company this early and that’s alright because, at the end of the day, there are several tipsters that will do that instead. According to the latest info, both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro might see a Q2 2020 unveiling. While those aren’t specific details, we can provide an estimate of our own, so let us begin.
OnePlus 8 Pro Launch Date Might Be Maintained Around the Same Time as the OnePlus 7 Unveiling Which Happened This Year
Details of a potential OnePlus 8 Pro launch happening in Q2 2020 comes from Max J., who has been on-point about previous rumors in the past concerning different phone manufacturers such as Sony and Samsung. He now states in a tweet that both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will launch during the second quarter of next year. While that’s not much to go on, we believe that the company will attempt to maintain the same launch timeline as it did with its OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro unveiling earlier this year.
8 and 8 Pro scheduled for Q2 2020

To refresh your memory, both the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro were unveiled on May 2019, meaning that a OnePlus 8 launch could happen during the same period. As far as the design of both upcoming smartphones go, renders of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have come forth, revealing that the pop-up front-facing camera on the more premium handset will be replaced by a punch-hole cutout. Also, there could be a fourth sensor added at the back, which we believe is a ToF camera.
What’s Else Can We Expect When It Comes to OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro Features?
Next year, both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro could offer 5G support, and as the company’s CEO stated earlier, we could get cheaper devices than the OnePlus 7 Pro. We also hope that this time, users get access to Qi wireless charging since that’s a feature that’s long overdue on these handsets.
Other than that, a 90Hz refresh rate display should be present on both models, along with both handsets being underpinned by the Snapdragon 865. Of course, this is just the start of many rumors, so we recommend treating this one with a pinch of salt. As we near the official OnePlus 8 launch in 2020, we’ll get to know exactly what it houses underneath and more, so stay tuned.
