Apple kept the same design language approach for its iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus but heavily upgraded the hardware arsenal of these two powerful mobile computing machines. Unfortunately, according to leaked specifications of the handsets, it looks like Apple is slowly chipping away the battery capacity values of phones every time a better iteration is announced.
TENAA Listing Reveals the iPhone 8 Battery Capacity Is Listed as 1,821mAh With iPhone 8 Plus Also Sports a Smaller Cell
Images from China’s TENAA (via OnLeaks) reveal the following battery capacities of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. While we’re at it, the RAM values of both phones have been listed too.
- iPhone 8: 1,821mAh with 2GB RAM
- iPhone 8 Plus: 2,675mAh with 3GB RAM
Now keep in mind that both phones come with the same IPS LCD screens that were equipped with Apple’s previous-generation phones so you will not get the same battery life benefits as owners of the ‘soon to be released’ iPhone X. However, the presence of the A11 Bionic chipset will improve matters considerably seeing as how it is manufactured using TSMC’s 10nm FinFET architecture.

The new iOS 11 update should also bring about battery improvements so we doubt that there is going to be an astronomical decrease of screen-on time for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users.
Still, do you think Apple should have provided a bigger battery for its newly released phones? We certainly think so but do let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
