Right on cue, Apple has released for download iOS 12 Beta 4 to registered developers. It's available for all compatible devices that can run iOS 11, namely all of the 64-bit devices from Apple's mobile lineup. This means that even if you have an iPhone 5s, the latest beta will be available to you, provided you are a registered developer with Apple, of course.
This release is available to download over the air as well as a separate IPSW firmware file straight from Apple's dev portal. In order to download iOS 12 Beta 4 over the air, first of all make sure you are connected to a power source and also connected to WiFi. If you have more than 50% battery on your device then you don't need to be plugged in. But AC power ensures that things go even more smoothly for you. Once that is out of the way, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and download the update from here.
In order to install the update, you will be required to restart your device therefore let it sit on the table until everything goes through nice and smoothly. Once done, you can start using your phone or tablet normally, except that there will be less bugs this time around and improved performance too.
If Apple has slipped in something significant in this release, we will inform our readers about it. There is a chance that this beta might bring in the new Maps app Apple has been working on behind the scenes. Whatever the case might be, you'll hear from us as very, very soon, so stay tuned.
