Take A First Look At The Sony Xperia Z4 – Alleged LCD Digitizer Leaks In Series Of Photos
With next year's CES less than two months away, word has started to increase related to Sony's next flagship, the Sony Xperia Z4. The Xperia Z4 is expected to feature several upgrades over the current Z3 and therefore maintain its flagship capabilities. According to word so far, the Xperia Z4 will come with the 64 bit Snapdragon 810, a SoC which is also rumored to come on Samsung's Galaxy S6.
This will be coupled with the Adreno 430 and 4 GB of RAM on board. Storage on the device has seen disappointing rumors so far, with the Xperia Z4 to allegedly come with 16 GB of storage. Today's news is about the front digitizer of the device which shows several changes when compared to the one found on the current Xperia Z3.
Thanks to folks over at futuresupplier, we have been able to get our hands on some photos allegedly belonging to the front digitizer on the Sony Xperia Z4. The first change that you'll notice as you glance at the image above is that Sony has visibly reduced front bezel thickness on the Xperia Z4. Taking a look at the image below, we can see more changes.
Sony has also swapped the proximity sensor and the front facing camera see their positions swapped, with the earpiece speaker seeing its position moved further above. Also, looks like the Xperia Z4 will have a similar screen size of 5.2 inches, as both the components are similar in size.
Stereo loudspeakers will also be seeing their position changed on the Xperia Z4 since the bottom of the Touch digitizer appears to be smooth. Perhaps we'll be seeing speakers moved to the bottom of the device? The Xperia Z4 is expected to come with several features on board such as NFC, Wireless Charging and IP68 certifications. While its still too early to make any predictions, we're pretty sure that things will heat up in Xperia Z4 territory. Stay tuned.
