Install iOS 10.2 Beta Without Developer Account on iPhone & iPad

Install iOS 10.2

Here's how you can install iOS 10.2 Beta without a developer account on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device.

iOS 10.2 is Currently Available for Registered Developers Only, But You Can Install it Without a Developer Account Still

Apple released iOS 10.2 Beta to registered developers yesterday and the update packs a modest amount of changes making it worthy of a '.2' release. But as you can tell already, iOS 10.2 is available for 'registered developers only.' This means those without an Apple Developer Program membership are absolutely out of luck installing the latest pre-release firmware onto their devices. But nonetheless, you can still go ahead with the installation process if you manage to get your hands on the OTA profile that enables you to download iOS 10.2 Beta onto your device.

For obvious reasons, we will not link to the OTA profile here. But a quick search on the Web will land you the download link for it instantly. Once the profile is installed, it's a simple case of going to to Settings > General > Software Update in order to install the latest release. This route will not erase anything from your device but we will recommend taking a backup using iCloud or iTunes just to be on the safe side.

Warning for Users

Personally, I would not recommend users to install iOS 10.2 Beta using this route. There's a high chance Apple will, either today, or later this week, release the Public Beta of the firmware for everyone to test out. The great part about it is that it will be free to take for a spin as long as you have a compatible device and an Apple ID.

The logical thing to do right now is wait for a while until the Public Beta of iOS 10.2 is available for download. it's absolutely worth the wait since the update does not pack something really drastic under the hood that you should hold your breath to try out. But if you think you're missing out the biggest deal in the world then be my guest to install iOS 10.2 Beta right away on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

We will keep our readers posted when iOS 10.2 Public Beta is available to download for everyone. Meanwhile, exercise a little patience.
