GTA Online Sets All-Time Biggest Day and Week Records Almost Six Years After Its Original Launch
GTA Online is going stronger than ever almost six years after its original launch (October 1st, 2013) on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Rockstar revealed today that the past week saw all-time records for both the biggest day and biggest week in terms of player numbers.
This is mostly thanks to the highly anticipated ‘The Diamond Casino & Resort’ update, launched last week on all platforms. It’s definitely great news for Rockstar, especially since Red Dead Online still has to pick up steam.
The developers also made sure to highlight the latest in-game promotions, discounts, and freebies; you can find all the details below.
It is a common mistake among new collectors to keep priceless artwork hidden, untouched, safe. But with experience, you come to appreciate the truth: priceless artwork should be driven 110mph down the freeway, somersaulted through an impossibly small space, and wrecked on a jagged cliff edge in a blaze of poetic glory.
So buckle up. Your artwork is ready. Introducing the impeccable Vysser Neo.
Casino Story Missions are paying out Double Rewards this week, so make a quiet exit from the Member’s Party, brush yourself off, and pay a visit to Ms. Baker’s management office to help protect Tao Cheng from the Duggan family and reap the fiduciary benefits of this hostile takeover situation.
Some things get better with age, like fine wine, cigars and souvenir t-shirts. Players who log in to GTA Online before August 7 can collect The Diamond Vintage Tee, free of charge.
Stop by the lobby and give the Lucky Wheel its daily spin for the opportunity to win GTA$, RP, clothing and more – this week’s top prize is the stylish and luxurious Grotti Turismo Classic, a timeless and sleek sports car with a mid-engine design that would tempt any valet for a joyride. Speaking of valets, try not to torture yours when you drop off your keys.
The rotating selection of clothing and artwork at the Diamond Casino Store sees a litany of new items this week – including new sculptures for your floors and surfaces, wall art, and clothing items like the Knit High Roller Jacket and the Gold Kronos Tempo Watch.
Speaking of investments, don’t blow it all in one place. Make sure to stop by the local Ammu-Nation and take advantage of 30% off the futuristic Up-n-Atomizer ray-gun, the Unholy Hellbringer and the Widowmaker. Vehicle-wise, there is a 30% discount on a couple of exotic supercars — the Grotti X80 Proto and the Vapid FMJ — that are sure to turn heads. Or maybe you need to raise your insurance premiums with a new motorcycle. In that case, the Shitzhu Hakuchou Drag fits the bill at 40% off.
Twitch Prime members who linked their Twitch and Rockstar Social Club accounts before July 29th can claim their free Master Penthouse in-game via the website on their iFruit. Those who missed the latest deadline can still purchase the Master Penthouse and receive a rebate for the price of the base Master Penthouse unit within 48 hours.
And all Twitch Prime members who have linked their accounts will receive 70% off the Mammoth Thruster jet pack and the TM-02 Khanjali tank through August 8, as well as an additional 10% off all of this week’s sale items listed above.
