In February, it was reported that the price of AMD's Ryzen 7 7700X was expected to drop and eventually did. It was speculated that it was an attempt by the company to offer a comparable processor to outsell rival competitor Intel in processor sales. But, users have remained stagnant in the DIY marketplace, avoiding purchasing new products from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel because of initial high prices. Over the last several months, the "big three" have attempted to lower their products' costs to regain their foothold in the PC DIY market.

Now that AMD, ASRock, and G.Skill are at this dramatically low cost, this will assist in each company's overall overhead costs for manufacturing and lessen the growing inventory sitting idle on manufacturer shelves.
