Developer CD Projekt Red has released a brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 screenshot showing off the game’s environment in daylight featuring flying vehicles.
The new screenshot shows the construction of a skyscraper in Night City and various flying vehicles from the city’s 24-hour news station, Network News 54. “Hope you aren't afraid of height”, the accompanying text from CD Projekt Red reads.
As covered last month, Cyberpunk 2077 will offer numerous ways to vertically explore Night City.
“The city is really the core of Cyberpunk 2077”, Senior Concept Artist and Coordinator Marthe Jonkers explained recently. “We approached it very holistically; we started with very big ideas of the city and then went into detail and detail and detail and detail. We have an urban planner in the team, for instance, which really helps us with the map and the layout to make the city feel very realistic.”
“We now have this option of vertical exploration that we didn’t really have in The Witcher, which was more of a spread-out map. We really take advantage of that, and we have a lot of ways of going up and down.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for a release on April 16 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
