Only recently, GoPro announced its Hero+ LCD action cam; an entry-level product which features an exorbitant price tag of $299. To reply back with ferocity, Xiaomi unveils of its Yi Camera night vision edition, which carries a price tag of just 149 Yuan ($25 USD), according to the pricing details printed on the company’s teaser poster. Similar to the company’s original Yi Camera, the hardware specifications of both action cameras will remain the same, but wearers will be able to capture better images and footage in low-illuminated environments thanks to the night vision camera sensor.

Xiaomi’s $25 Yi Camera Night Vision Edition Will Be Taking On GoPro’s $129.99 Hero

The night vision edition of Yi Camera is incorporated with a 940 mm infrared camera sensor in order to produce better quality images during night time. The device will not flash any light while taking such images, meaning that other individuals will not be temporarily blinded by the sudden flash burst and decide to gouge your eyes out for the discomfort that you caused them.

GizmoChina states that the regular version of Yi Camera only carries a price of 128 Yuan, which when converted, results in a modicum price of USD $21. Unfortunately, both models will be very hard to purchase since the killer price tag has resulted in the depletion of stock at a very alarming rate. The action camera features better specifications compared to the $129.99 entry-level GoPro Hero. For comparison purposes, given below are all the details of Yi Camera and GoPro Hero.
