No Windows 10 Mobile Preview Coming Today – New Build Delayed to Next Week

Gabe Aul had shared earlier that the Windows 10 Mobile build 10536 is the next candidate for the release to the Fast ring members of Windows Insider Program. He then tweeted yesterday asking insiders to vote if they wanted 10536 to be released with a few bugs this Friday, that would be today, or on Tuesday next week with bugs possibly fixed. As expected, Insiders overwhelmingly voted for the build to be released today. However, as it turns out, you will have to wait even more for the next Mobile preview to arrive.

Gabe has tweeted that the new build will not be rolling out today, as an issue was discovered in Windows 10 Mobile build 10536. This problem would make it impossible for the future builds to be installed over 10536.

Aul explained that the issue was "caused by our UpdateGen process which enables the build-to-build deltas." As Microsoft has to release new builds carrying the fixes since they can't be patched with routine updates like Windows 10 desktop, it means that the Windows 10 Mobile 10536 isn't coming to the insiders today, or anytime in the future. But don't be upset, as we are promised that Microsoft has been internally testing the "next" build. This promised build will carry a new number and is next in line after 10536 Preview.

This build carries the Store fix along with any other bugs that have been discovered in the Windows 10 Mobile 10536. New Mobile build will not be released until next week, which means you will have to deal with 10512 for a few more days.
