[Updated]: Samsung Galaxy F (Prime) Leaked Photo Looks Like Repurposed iPhone 5s
Since the release of Samsung Galaxy S5, quite a number of leaks have hit the interwebs around a device considered as S5 Prime, or known as Samsung Galaxy F. While the device seems to be Korean tech giant's attempt at producing a premium device, we cannot rule out the fact that rumors have been circulating Samsung and its plans of producing a premium smartphone for years now. If we consider another set of speculations and rumors around Apple's attempt at introducing a larger screen iPhone to compete against various Android smartphones, it starts sounding quite plausible that Samsung too may have to answer that back with a premium smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy F leaked image:
Earlier, we saw a few leaks showing the Samsung Galaxy S5 in all its beautiful aluminum glory. Today's image, however, somehow makes the F looks similar to an iPhone 5/5s device. While the similarity is not that apparent, when you look at the thickness of smartphone and its curves, it does start looking like an iPhone. This could be an attempt to produce something directly in competition with Apple's popular iPhone lineup.
Samsung Galaxy F is expected to feature a 5.1 inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and an all-aluminum casing. Here are the detailed, speculated features of Samsung Galaxy F.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (F) SM-G906 specifications:
The Samsung Galaxy F leaks and rumors so far have given us some specs and features summed up in the following list:
- 2.5Ghz Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 APQ8084
- Adreno 420 GPU
- 5.1 inches QUD 2560 x 1440 display
- 3 GB of RAM
- 32 GB Internal Storage
- 16 megapixel front camera
- 2 megapixel in camera
- Android 4.4.3 KitKat - if the release comes in Fall, Samsung could introduce Google's latest Android L with Prime too.
Here is the close-up image of Samsung Galaxy F that has just been leaked out and is being termed as similar to an iPhone. In all honesty, if Apple can get ready to start considering a larger display smartphone in order to compete against Android's growing popularity, it's anything but apt for Samsung and other Android leaders to start offering metal-clad phone for the sake of competition.
In the end, it is all the consumers who win from these little tussles!
