Thanks to a torrent of leaks and rumors, a bevy of information surrounding the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL was already available prior to the official unveiling, and yet, here we are. Google states that these are the first phones right now to feature the company’s Soli chip, which we’ll get more into in just a short while. Along with the Soli chip details, here’s everything else you’ve been wanted to know about Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.

Expect a New Google Assistant, as Well as Newer Camera Features on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL

One of the first things you’ll notice is the new design on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, as both of them sport a massive bezel up-top. For those that don’t know, it houses the Soli radar chip, the speaker, a single front shooter, and a group of sensors for Face Unlock purposes. Additionally, Google will debut a new Assistant for the Pixel 4, which will arrive with newer features right off the bat.

Pixel 4’s Starting Price Must Be Lowered if Google Wants to Sell More

In terms of camera hardware, both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL feature a 12MP main sensor and a 16MP telephoto unit that can take more advantage of Google’s Super Res Zoom feature. That’s not all, because the newer devices will also debut unique camera features ranging from Dual Exposure Camera Controls, astrophotography, and more.

Other Key Specifications & Pixel Neural Core

Qualcomm’s President already spilled the beans that both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL would ship with a Snapdragon 855. Aside from that, both devices are treated to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, a 90Hz display, and the new Pixel Neural Core. The Pixel Neural Core, according to Google, is the engine for on-device processing, always-on computing, and machine learning, meaning more tasks are done on the device for performance and privacy.

Also, both Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are accompanied by Google’s custom-built Titan M security chip to protect your most sensitive data. Google will also be providing monthly security updates for 3 years, and access to Google’s advanced security services.
