NVIDIA To Kick Off 2025 With Its Revamped NVIDIA App Software & GeForce RTX 50 "Blackwell" GPUs

NVIDIA's next-gen gaming GPUs are around the corner but we still have a few months left before we may see the first batch of GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs. What's interesting is that the exact GPU launch date is not yet confirmed, either by NVIDIA or through third-party sources. Some sources say that the GPUs will launch at CES 2025 but the other indicate an earlier launch.

As per the latest leak by @kopite7Kimi, NVIDIA could come up with the RTX 50 series Blackwell gaming GPUs at the end of 2024. This is because the leaker says that the NVIDIA App will launch alongside RTX 50 GPUs. In a reply to Videocardz, the leaker said,

It will be released officially together with RTX 50.

NVIDIA App is the replacement of the current NVIDIA Control Panel and GeForce Experience, which provide various customizations and game optimizations. NVIDIA App seeks to bring all those features together in a single app and has already started adding new features regularly.

Two weeks ago we reported that NVIDIA is ending the GeForce Experience permanently when the NVIDIA App exists in the current beta phase at the end of this year. If the leak by kopite7Kimi is true, then the RTX 50 series GPUs may end up getting revealed before CES 2025. It may not be a retail launch but could be an official reveal like Intel did with Intel Arrow Lake CPUs.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 & RTX 5080 Graphics Cards To Debut At CES 2025: 14-Layer PCB, Single 12V-2x6 Power, PCIe 5.0 & DP 2.1a Support 1

The initial launch will bring at least two or three NVIDIA RTX 50 series cards, mostly from the high-end category, which will include GPUs like the flagship RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070. We have written dedicated posts about these GPUs and their rumored specifications. That said, AMD is also expected to come up with the RX 8000 series at CES 2025, which will be held in January.

While AMD won't be competing against the green team's high-end cards, it's still expected to bring competitive mid-range and budget offerings, namely: NAVI 44 and NAVI 48 chips. NVIDIA, on the other hand, will follow up with budget offerings a few months later but as far as its new App goes, the company is seeking to develop it fully before 2024 ends and has already started a survey for user feedback.
