Publisher and developer ProbablyMonsters have revealed a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming third-person stealth-action brawler, Nekome: Nazi Hunter, a game that looks like what you'd get if you took some of the cinematic brawling of Sifu and mixed it into a story where you play as a a young Romani man on a war path against the Nazis for killing his family.

The trailer introduces us to the game's protagonist, Vano Nastasu, who is seeking revenge for the aforementioned homicide. There's no release date or early release window for the game yet, but we do know it'll be arriving on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S when it launches.

We also know that the game is being directed by Jeronimo Barrera, a former vice president of product development at Rockstar Games who has previously worked on Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 before joining ProbablyMonsters.

"I have built my career on narrative-driven projects, and Nekome: Nazi Hunter is one of my favourite and most personal yet," said Barrera in a press release. "It's a story where every design decision supports a single point of view. Nekome: Nazi Hunter tells a story of the Second World War through an intentionally narrow and human lens, grounded in character and consequence."

"Vano is hunting Nazis. He's doing more than just punching them in the face, as his every move is a calculated act of revenge that transports players into his world."

Each mission in Nekome: Nazi Hunter begins with an infiltration, where you'll sneak around and take out specific targets and elements in each Nazi base you invade to ensure that you'll be able to survive the onslaught of enemies coming your way. Once you've completed those preliminary steps, it evolves into more Sifu-esque, close-quarters combat, but instead of just relying on your fists, you'll use a knife and anything you can grab your hands on to brutally murder the Nazis that run at you.

As you progress through the story, Vano's reputation will evolve among the ranks of the Nazis, and you could encounter ones later in the game who are terrified by your presence before you've taken a step towards them. It all depends on how you've chosen to play each mission, whether that's been with more of a stealth focus the whole way through, or if you've become known for barging down the front doors and killing everything in sight.

Hopefully, we'll have more information on when we can get our hands on Nekome: Nazi Hunter soon.
