The new iOS 12.1 firmware update carries a build number of 16B194, which is slightly different from the original 16B93 build number. At this point, a lot of you might be wondering why did the company release an updated version of iOS 12.1 for the iPhone XR. As of now, it's unknown why the company released it, but it most probably contains bug fixes.

Non-iPhone XR users did not receive the updated version of iOS 12.1 which suggests that the build is exclusive to Apple's 6.1-inch LCD iPhone.
