Today, Apple has seen fit to release an updated version of iOS 12.1 oriented towards the iPhone XR. the update arrives a week after Apple launched iOS 12.1 for the general public and a little over a week since the iPhone XR was made available. Apple Releases Updated Version Of iOS 12.1 For The iPhone XR
The new iOS 12.1 firmware update carries a build number of 16B194, which is slightly different from the original 16B93 build number. At this point, a lot of you might be wondering why did the company release an updated version of iOS 12.1 for the iPhone XR. As of now, it's unknown why the company released it, but it most probably contains bug fixes.
Non-iPhone XR users did not receive the updated version of iOS 12.1 which suggests that the build is exclusive to Apple's 6.1-inch LCD iPhone. If you have not installed the latest version just yet, be sure to note that you can install by navigating to the Settings app, then General and then tap on Software Update.
iOS 12.1 is a major update taking into account the number of features Apple has added in the build.
