Here's how to fly and air dash in Crimson Desert using a hidden Aerial Stab tech

The Crimson Desert sandbox mechanics allow you to interact with the world in the most creative of ways, making Pywell feel like a believable, living, and breathing continent. These mechanics also let you perform some crazy feats that were probably not intended by the developers.

This is the case of the ability to fly and air dash using a hidden Aerial Stab tech.

The Hidden Aerial Stab Tech

Aerial Stab is one of Kliff's combat abilities. Learned by leveling up Stab to level 3, this ability lets you use Stab in the air by pressing R1/RB + Triangle/Y after a jump, while falling, or after using Aerial Force Palm.

The exploit that lets you fly and dash relies on the ability to aim the Aerial Stab in any direction, including while airborne!

How to Fly and Air Dash

With the above in mind, to fly and air dash using Aerial Stab, you need to:

  • Make sure to have a one-handed weapon equipped with a shield. The tech doesn't work when dual-wielding and automatically reverts to a weapon-and-shield setup when equipping a two-handed weapon.
  • Propel yourself in the air with a jump, Double Jump, or with Aerial Force Palm (learned by enhancing Force Palm to Level 1).
  • Press and hold R1/RB + Triangle/Y. Time will slow down to allow you to aim.
  • Aim upwards to launch higher, or straight ahead to air dash.
  • Right after you have performed an Aerial Stab, press and hold R1/RB + Triangle/Y again to perform another.

With this tech, you can essentially fly and air dash until you are out of Stamina, making it even more crucial to improve first. With this tech, not only can you climb heights faster and more effectively, but you can also devise new combat techniques and also bypass certain quest sections, such as reaching the top of the Spire of Insight without completing its puzzles!
