Galaxy S4 Image Leak, Specs and Launch Date (Alleged)

Korean electronics giant Samsung’s venture into Android has been really successful so far with the benchmark Android Galaxy lineup giving a flagship device every year. These devices have most of the times met what fandroiders have expected.

Since the release of Samsung Galaxy S III i9300 last year, speculations started circulating about the next flagship smart phone Galaxy S4. First its specs then designs and pretty much everything has been allegedly leaked till now. Today we have got Samsung Galaxy S4 image leak via the photo sharing site Picasa. This image does look a bit legit and shows a bigger home button (disapproving the recent speculation that the next Galaxy phone would not have any physical Home button) and overhauled, rather squared design with less rounded top and bottom compared to Galaxy S3.

The new Samsung Galaxy device appears to be a fantastic device considering the new processor details. Two things are for certain – the Galaxy S4 will be powered with the all new 1.8GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor and the phone is being tested on Android 4.2.1.

Rumors have been claiming that the new Galaxy S4 will come up with 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixels camera, 1080p Full HD video recording and a 4.99inch super AMOLED display. According to SamMobile, Samsung Galaxy S4 will be sporting a 9.1MM thick S-Pen too. This digitiser stylus involves a whole new screen layer and has the ability to sense the stylus’s tip well before it actually touches the screen. This S-pen can also judge the varying levels of pressure. Nothing confirmed, it’s all about rumors and speculations right now.

It’s quite natural for new products to have leaks of design, specifications and everything so that the hype never dies and it is working really well in the case of Galaxy S4. One interesting thing to note here is that last year when image of Galaxy S3 was leaked, the device displayed May 3 as date; exactly when the Galaxy S III was officially launched. This time leaked product image is displaying April 22. Is that some sort of hint of Samsung Galaxy S4 releasing in April? Only time could tell us - as the saying goes.
