Well, a video has emerged on YouTube that shows how a laser fixed the green line on the iPhone's OLED screen.
New laser technology can fix green lines on OLED screens of iPhone and Android phones without disassembly
The new technology is not limited to the iPhone's OLED screen but can also fix any smartphone with the green line issue. The technology is pretty advanced and saves a lot of money and time for customers. A YouTube channel Strange Parts has uncovered the technology in a new video, highlighting how the technology works.
When an OLED screen gets a green line, it is mainly because there are uneven or broken traces within the panel. These traces carry electrical signals in all areas of the panel for the pixels to light up. With broken traces, the pixels are unable to receive the electrical signals, whereby showing a green line on the iPhone or Android phone's OLED screen. The video shows that the laser mends the traces and keeps the route clear for the electrical signals to pass through.
The laser machine works in a magical way where it fixes green lines even when the display is turned on. However, there is a reason for it. The light from the screen allows the operator of the laser to identify the broken traces, which can be fixed later on. The video shows how the issue is instantly fixed with a laser as the green line on the iPhone's OLED screen disappears without a trace.
The laser machine also houses another feature that can fix the flex of the screen. Altogether, the laser machine works to clear the OLED panel's issues. As mentioned earlier, users would not have to pay companies a lot for an entire display. Apart from cost, the device will remain sealed pack as the issue is fixed externally. Take note that the machine can not fix a cracked or damaged screen. The broken screen will have to be replaced, and the device will be disassembled for the operation to go through.
