First Pixel Fold Hands On Video Shows a Compact Foldable Reminiscent of the Oppo Find N2 Fold but with a Noticeable Crease

Google's upcoming Pixel Fold leaked extensively yesterday, giving us complete information on the upcoming foldable from Google and today. This was not the first rodeo, however, as the device has leaked in the past, showing us the design and renders as well. However, today, we have something special for you as today is the first time the device has leaked in a hands-on video showing a much more compact design that makes the device look more like a book.

Pixel Fold looks to have some thick bezels around the edges with a very noticeable crease

The hands-on video is coming from Kuba Wojciechowski, as he has shared the Pixel Fold in a rather simple hands-on video. Sadly, the video does not show much about the device besides the external and internal displays and the sides of the phone, which appear to have a glossy finish. The lighting is not good enough, but I believe this is the Chalk color variant.

You can have a look at the video below.

Now, let's get a few things out of the way. For starters, the Pixel Fold seems to have some thick bezels as compared to its contemporaries, and secondly, the device looks a lot like the Oppo Find N2 Fold with a smaller, more compact form factor, and last, but not least, the crease, at least in this video, is very noticeable. I do understand that you cannot get rid of the crease in foldable devices, but Google's foldable is showing it way more prominent than we have seen from other companies.

Sadly, the video does not show us more than that, so we don't get a complete look, but honestly, in its current state, I am rather disappointed considering how the Pixel Fold is going to start at $1,799 and at this price, you are getting a phone that looks like it is from a really old generation of foldable devices.

Whatever the case might be, we doubt anything is going to change now. The Pixel Fold is going official on May 10th at Google I/O 2023, and at this point, we can only hope we are getting our hands on a decent, if not a top-tier device.

Do you think that Pixel Fold can dethrone the obvious competition? Let us know in the comments below.
