iOS 12 Beta 5 Has Arrived with Bug Fixes and Improvements – Download it Today
After a period of waiting that almost seems like forever, registered developers can now download iOS 12 Beta 5 for their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Just like any other beta release before it, this one’s going to be packed with loads of bug fixes, security patches and performance improvements. If there are any visual changes in this release, we will highlight them in a separate post, so be on a lookout for that in the next few hours.
In order to download the iOS 12 Beta 5 update over the air, first all you must have a previous beta installed on your device. Once that is taken care of, just connect to a WiFi network, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update on your device and tap on Download and Install. The update may take a while to download, so hang in tight. Once the download is complete, you will be required to restart your device in order to set things in stone.

Given how stable iOS 12 is at this point in time, I would give everyone the green light in order to go ahead and install it. Even if you are not a developer, you can go right ahead and sign up to Apple’s public beta program, and give everything a spin for free. All you have to do is go to beta.apple.com on the device you wish to take the beta on a spin from and you’re done. And oh, you are not just limited to iOS 12 – macOS Mojave and tvOS 12 are also a part of the public beta program.
