Apple is yet to go down the path of augmented reality but it looks like the company is definitely going to take a chance with its best-selling product yet, the iPhone. Analysts have decided to provide their own points on what to expect from the iPhone 8, and they also suggest that the smartphone is going to feature a boatload of additions that’s going to make the flagship much different from its predecessors and its ongoing competition.

Analysts Claim That AR Features on the iPhone 8 Is Going to Be a Step-up in Terms of Innovation

Goldman Sachs’ analyst Simona Jankowski has stated that the upcoming iPhone 8 is going to feature 3D sensing, thus laying down the foundations of augmented reality. According to Benzinga, the analyst states the following on this game-changing feature on the device:

“The inclusion of 3D sensing functionality is increasingly likely, which could enable a robust augmented reality (AR) feature set that we believe will be a key differentiator for the 10-year anniversary iPhone.”

She states that the product is going to be a key differentiator when compared to the previous two product cycles, but I personally feel that a single feature should not give us a whole impression of the smartphone because there are various other expected improvements that will bring the consumer towards the phone. Firstly, the removal of the headphone jack and incorporation of a wireless charging circuit is one way how Apple can attract the crowd and time and time again, the upcoming smartphone family has been rumored to feature this convenient upgrade.

Rumor also has it that a new engineering process will have to be used to prevent the iPhone 8 from overheating as a result of the wireless charging addition, which could also drive the costs up to the point where the consumer might have to pay upwards of $1,000 to get their hands on the new iPhone. In addition, users who wanted to see more battery life from the smaller iPhone could have their prayers answered, as one report suggests that a new engineering approach might result in the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 shipping out with a 2,700mAh cell.

Do you guys think that AR is going to be the only key differentiator between the iPhone 8 and its healthy competition? Let us know right away.
