- A new PRAGMATA trailer provided a new emotional look at the story, main characters, and unique gameplay mechanics, which combine puzzle game and action game features. The trailer also confirmed that a new demo is launching today on Steam, and that the game will launch on April 24, 2026 on all formats, including Nintendo Switch 2
- Bradley the Badger, a surreal 3D platformer from former Mario Rabbids and Red Dead Redemption developers, has been announced with a colorful trailer.
- Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic has been announced with a new trailer. The game will be a single-player role-playing game set during the Old Republic era directed by Casey Hudson, the director of the beloved Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic
- A new look at Resident Evil Requiem finally confirmed the news everyone had been waiting for: Leon S. Kennedy will be the second protagonist of the game. The game is out on February 27 on PC and consoles.
- Larian Studios announced a brand new game called Divinity, which will be (somehow) even bigger than the massive Baldur's Gate 3. The reveal trailer held nothing back in regards to dark themes, which is something the studio actively pursued to treat the audience with a level of intellectual respect
- Left 4 Dead creator Mike Booth announced 4:LOOP, a tactical co-op shooter where players will have to fix the world after an alien invasion.
- A new look at EXODUS, the Mass Effect-like RPG by Archetype Entertainment, was shared today, alongside an early 2027 release window. We also have an interview with the developers.
- Wizards of the Coast is also funding Invoke's new game, which is a single player third-person open world adventure game titled Warlock: Dungeons and Dragons. You play as a specific character called Kaatri.
- CONTROL Resonant is the new entry in the series developed by Remedy, which promises to expand the original's experience with a much broader scope, a different genre, and even a different protagonist.
- The leaked Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was confirmed to be a remake of the original Tomb Raider, co-developed with Flying Wild Hog. It's set for release in 2026, while Crystal Dynamics works on Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the next franchise entry due in 2027, which will be the largest ever, according to the studio.
- Blizzard unveiled the new Diablo IV expansion, Lord of Hatred. It launches on April 28, 2026, but pre-ordering it now gives you immediate access to the new Paladin class.
- Phantom Blade Zero (whose dev received some key advice from the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer) has been announced to launch on September 9, 2026 for PC and PS5.
- LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight also received its own release date, set for May 29, 2026.
- The first Lords of the Fallen II gameplay trailer was shown. The game launches next year.
- Saros, the new action game by Housemarque, received a new trailer and a slight delay from March 20 to April 30, 2026.
- IO Interactive showed off 007 First Light villain Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz, with a trailer.
- Creative Assembly unveiled Total War: Warhammer 40,000, the first franchise installment that will also launch on consoles.
- Nagoshi Studio, the development studio founded by Like a Dragon series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, announced Gang of Dragon, a game that seems to be built on the legacy of the series to offer more of what fans love.
- KOEI TECMO confirmed that a new demo of Nioh 3 will be available on both PC and PlayStation 5 ahead of the full game's launch. The demo's save file will carry over to the final release.
- Fuse Games revealed Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new arcade racing game due in 2026.
- CAPCOM announced the long-awaited return of its blue mascot with Mega Man: Dual Override, scheduled to launch in 2027.
- Another revival of a classic series was brought to The Game Awards 2025 by Bandai Namco, which revealed ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE, a new game due in 2026.
- Nearly ten years after The Witness, Jonathan Blow unveiled the narrative puzzle game Order of the Sinking Star, also due next year.
- Neon Giant, the Swedish studio that made The Ascent, announced a first-person open world shooter RPG called NO LAW.
- The final announcement of the show was Highguard, a PvP 'raid shooter' game made by former creators of Titanfall and Apex Legends.

Special Performances

The show opened with the TGA orchestra performing the song "Une vie à t'aimer" from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a heavy hint at the game sweeping the floor with prizes.
Goth Rock/Metal band Evanescence later performed the song Afterlife from the Devil May Cry Netflix anime during this year's show.
The TGA orchestra also performed "Dr. Wily's Castle Theme" from Mega Man: Dual Override as part of that game's announcement. Finally, ahead of the Game of the Year announcement, they performed a medley that included bits taken from songs of all the nominees (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II).
