You’ll definitely want to start downloading Red Dead Redemption 2 early, as the game is big. Not quite as big as that leak from a couple weeks back indicated, but still hefty – the game weighs in at 88.57GB on Xbox One and 89.2GB on the PlayStation 4.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will come in standard, Standard, and Ultimate Editions, and Sony fans are getting a PS4 Pro bundle and some limited-time exclusive content. Rockstar has been detailing some of Red Dead Redemption 2’s features over the past few weeks, including the game’s weapons, countless animal species, and frontier towns and cities.
Been living under a rock and not sure what Red Dead Redemption 2 is all about? Here’s an official synopsis of the game’s story:
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb to the law are killed.
After a robbery goes wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
