The M4 iPad Pro's OLED display is potentially the best one on a tablet, as it uses a dual stack of OLED sheets for enhanced brightness and color accuracy. The company also introduced a brand-new 13-inch variant of the iPad Air, which comes with an M2 chip for Pro-level performance. A YouTuber has now discovered that the new OLED iPad Pro and iPad Air models come with stronger magnets than before despite a thinner overall design and form factor.
Apple's new OLED iPad Pro and iPad Air house bigger and stronger magnets, allowing the Smart Folio to be adjusted in wide viewing angles
Popular YouTuber MKBHD has discovered that the new iPad Air and OLED iPad Pro house bigger magnets. The more powerful magnets come with a purpose, and that is to support a wider range of viewing angles on the Smart Folio cases for the 'Pro' and 'Air' models. Marques used magnet paper to compare the magnet of the older iPad Pro and the new OLED version. Other than the heft, the new magnets are also more cubic when it comes to shape.
The magnets in the Folio case are arranged in a longer rail, which aligns with the position of the magnets in the M4 iPad Pro. With the new array of magnets, the new Folio Case can be adjusted and used at wide viewing angles. Aside from the accessory, Apple has also made changes to the speakers of the iPad Pro to compensate for the device's thinner design. The speaker drivers are now way thinner, flatter, and circular in shape to fit in a slimmer chassis. The drivers are also closer to the top of the device. However, it is still yet to be tested if the changes have an impact on the sound quality.

The main purpose of the redesigned and bigger magnets is to offer better integration with the new Smart Folio case. Marques tested the M4 iPad Pro with magnet paper, and since the iPad Air is compatible with the same Folio Case, we presume that it also houses bigger magnets. If you have got your hands on the new M4 iPad Pro, you can get the Smart Folio Case in Denim, Black, and White for the 11-inch and 13-inch models. The Smart Folio for the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models is available in Light Violet, Charcoal Gray, Sage, and Denim.
The iPad Pro is possibly the best alternative to a computer, but it is still paralyzed due to limitations put in place by iPadOS. The company is expected to announce iPadOS 18 later this year, which could decide the fate of the OLED iPad Pro models.
