Motherboard Vendors Roll Out AGESA 1.0.0.5 BIOS Firmware, Support For AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs

AMD partners have started to roll out their newest AGESA 1.0.0.5 BIOS firmware that adds support for Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs on AM5 motherboards.

AMD AGESA 1.0.0.5 BIOS Firmware Rolling Out To AM5 Motherboards, Prepping For Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs

With the launch of AMD's Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs expected next week, board vendors are rolling out the latest BIOS firmware for their AM5 motherboards within the X670(E) and B650(E) families. The latest BIOS is based on the AGESA 1.0.0.5c firmware which should enable support for the 3D CPUs.

As for the availability of the latest BIOS, it looks like ASRock is the first to offer it on their webpage for both X670(E) and B650(E) series motherboards. The BIOS was uploaded just a few hours ago & the description states that it updates the AGESA ComboAM5 to version 1.0.0.5c. Meanwhile, ASUS also has a BETA BIOS which updates to the AGESA 1.0.0.5c firmware and adds support for the Core Flex feature for AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs.

Gigabyte hasn't announced anything for their AM5 motherboards yet and their support page still lists down 1.0.0.4 BIOS as the latest available firmware. MSI has plans to announce the latest BIOS for its AM5 motherboards very soon so we will be keeping you updated when those are available. Meanwhile, the following is the SMU of the AGESA 1.0.0.5c BIOS firmware.

It should be pointed out that the AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs will be introduced with the Ryzen 9 lineup first on the 28th of February. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be available on the 6th of April and that CPU is the one that most gamers are interested in. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D will cost $699 US, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D will cost $599 US while the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will cost $449 US. Reviews are expected to be available a day earlier before the launch.
