DICE has revealed that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be playable at Gamescom, similarly to Need for Speed. EA will also be demonstrating a new trailer for the title. The announcement was made by community manager Vincent Vukovic, on the game’s official website.
In Mirror's Edge Catalyst the city will expand as players progress through the story
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, tells the story of Faith, a Runner who uncovers the truth of the city of Glass. Players will get to explore all parts of the city, mastering the environment and using their momentum and perfect combat timing to fight the oppression of the ruling elite, while uncovering the dark secrets behind the city’s beautiful facade.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst allows players to explore the entire city, and participating in new activities, like ‘Dash’, races from point A to B, environmental puzzles and story missions to complete at their own pace.

EA will have a big presence at the Gamescom event, beginning on August 5, 2015, when the company will be hosting its press conference. Need for Speed will also be in playable form for the first time, giving attendees the chance to have a hands-on experience with the upcoming racer. The publisher will have Star Wars Battlefront and other major titles, including Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, and hopefully Mass Effect Andromeda. Visceral Games might finally reveal their Star Wars title, which was recently announced to be under the helm of Jade Raymond.
The game will be out February 23rd in North America and February 26th in Europe for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
