Mafia 3 Nyclix Color Correction / Blur Removal ReShade Preset Provides Some Noticeable Improvements

Mafia 3, the new entry of the series developed by Hangar 13, has recently received its first patch on PC, which finally allows players to play the game at framerates higher than 30 FPS. Even with these new framerate options, some still don't like how the game looks, but thankfully there's a way to make it look somewhat better with a rather small performance cost.

A few hours ago, Steam user Nyclix shared the latest version of his Color / Blur Removal ReShade preset, which makes the game look noticeably better. A couple of comparison screenshots have also been made available, and you can check them out right below.

To get the best possible experience, the following settings are recommended.

With the latest update and the settings below I get 60-90 fps on an i5 3570k at 4.4ghz and a 980ti at 2560x1440 resolution. Windows 10.

Depth of Field: On

Field of View: Personal preference, higher is better. I use 90

Global Quality Preset:

Custom Fullscreen: On

Vsync: Off <-- Optional but I disable it.

Ambient Occulsion: High

Motion Blur: On

Geometry Detail: High

Shadow Detail: High <-- Reducing to low effects distant shadows but doesn't seem to effect fps much

Reflection Detail: Low <-- HIGH fps cost, negligible visual difference

Volumetric Effects: Low <--- HIGH fps cost, negligible visual difference

Antialiasing: High <-- Works best with current sharpening setting

Mafia 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will let you know more about any future update as soon as more comes in on them, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
