LG G6 is the newly released flagship from 2017 and it is certainly a breath of fresh air when you compare its design with the company’s previous flagships. On the downside, it does not feature a removable battery anymore, and some users might complain about the phone not featuring the latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 SoC. Well, let us see how the device performs when it goes head-to-head against iPhone 7 Plus and a device that shares similar hardware to the G6, OnePlus 3T.
When You Pit Three Flagships Together, Which One Will Be Crowned the King? The G6, iPhone 7 Plus or OnePlus 3T?
Both the G6 and OnePlus 3T feature a Snapdragon 821, but what will give the affordable flagship a slight advantage over LG’s high-end phone is 6GB of RAM, allowing for more multitasking options at the user’s fingertips. This is seen evidently when Dave from Phonebuff says that the higher RAM count on the OnePlus 3T will allow it to keep more applications open in the background when you come back to open them once more, especially gaming apps.
Though LG’s G6 is also able to do that, having 4GB of RAM in an Android flagship and having a skirmish with a device that is touting 6GB RAM will put the former at a severe disadvantage. iPhone 7 Plus has still not been able to meet a challenger that will dethrone it from the speed test and today, things are not going to be any different. The optimized operating system, coupled with the fact that the iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB of RAM puts it above the G6 and OnePlus 3T.
After the test has been concluded, it was no surprise that the iPhone 7 Plus came first, followed by the OnePlus 3T and LG G6. That’s not to say that the G6 is a bad phone at all and chances are that you will not be going berserk with opening up a slew of applications in record time as seen in the video below.
