During the past weekend's IGN Fanfest, Bloober Team revealed the release window of the upcoming horror game Layers of Fear. At the end of the new short trailer, fans discovered that the Polish studio is targeting June to launch the game on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.

Layers of Fear was announced at not-E3 2022. It is being built upon the foundations of Layers of Fear, the Inheritance DLC, and the full-fledged sequel. According to Bloober Team, it is meant to tie the whole franchise together by adding a brand new story focused on a writer.

The game is being developed with technologies like Unreal Engine 5 (with Lumen taking center stage), ray tracing, and HDR support to maximize the visual impact and immersion. New core mechanics and features will be added to the earlier stories to seamlessly blend everything.

Layers of Fear is being co-developed with fellow Polish developer Anshar Studios (Gamedec), a team that had already worked with Bloober Team on Observer: System Redux. Meanwhile, Bloober Team is also making the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake for PlayStation 5 and PC on behalf of Konami.
