iPhone 9 And iPhone XS Max Cases Appear At Walmart, Less Than A Week Ahead Of Launch
As we're heading towards Apple's 'Gather Round' event next months, leaks for the 2018 iPhone lineup are picking up the pace. When compared to 2017, this year we've seen virtually zero component or factory leaks for the iPhone, as Apple's security measures to prevent these are working out. Now we've got more details on the iPhone 9 and iPhone XS Max.
However, as is the nature of such projects, the sheer amount of different variables and parties involved results in some information making it outside. Today, we've got one of these that confirms previous information for the iPhone 9, iPhone X(s), and iPhone XS Max. Take a look below for more details.
Case Leak For The 6.1" LCD iPhone 9 And 6.5" OLED iPhone XS Max Confirm Their Dimensions And Form Factor
While we've seen no direct physical evidence for the 2018 iPhone lineup, plenty of reports for the trio's features have come to light. Rumors of an entry level 6.1" LCD iPhone that's tentatively dubbed as the iPhone 9 claim that Apple will bring down the price point for the lineup this year as it looks to streamline 3D facial recognition.
Additionally, Apple's got an upgrade problem in which older users do not want to upgrade their smartphones. This naturally results in delayed revenues for the company. Since more than half of the Cupertino based tech giant's revenues are from the iPhone, this hesitancy to upgrade hurts Apple more than it hurts users.
iPhone 9 And iPhone XS Max Cases Bigger In Size In All Dimensions Compared To The iPhone X
With this in mind, cases for the 6.1" iPhone 9 and 6.5" iPhone X(s) Plus or Max have surfaced from Wallmart and they show how large the two new smartphones from Apple will be - especially when compared to the 5.8" iPhone X. Take a look.
A Reddit user by the name of Meechflow95 has managed to take photos of the two cases designed for the iPhone XS Max and iPhone 9. Moreover, the cases were compared to the iPhone X for an in-depth size comparison. Since both smartphones will brag a bigger display than the iPhone X, it makes sense that cases be bigger as well. According to earlier reports, the 6.5-inch OLED iPhone will bear a form factor similar to the iPhone 8 Plus.
The photos show similar cutouts for the iPhone 9 and iPhone XS Max. However, the camera sensors will not be the same as the bigger plus-sized variant will sport a dual camera set up while the LCD model will feature a single lens shooter at the back.
Other than the size comparison, there's not a lot that the cases have to offer. We have come to know up to this point that all three variants of the device will be pretty much the same, which includes the notch at the top. Of course, only the company's upcoming event next week can provide confirmation.
There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details. This is all for now, folks. What are your thoughts on the new cases? Let us know in the comments section below.
