12.9″ iPad Pro to Get an Improved A8X Chipset
After the release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus this September, the tablet series is expected to come next from the Cupertino's wonder world. Both the Mini and the Air are set to see their successors in October. However, the third and larger iPad Pro will probably see a launch during the second quarter of 2015, rumors suggest.
12.9-inch iPad Pro details surface:
Apple is expected to release iPad Mini 3 with Retina and the iPad Air 2 in next month. It is the larger tablet though that is getting more attention because of its "Pro" tag. Apple is moving towards accepting that different consumer groups have different needs from their gadgets. The company launched two larger iPhone variants ditching its classic iPhone size and is expected to introduce a larger tablet too.
Reports and rumors circulating around this particular tablet suggest that the larger iPad will get an improved A8X processing chip. Remember, Apple has used the new A8 chipset in the latest iPhone duo getting some raving reviews and claiming increased performance results. Apple also made improved versions of its previous chips including the A5 and the A6 processors. Last year's A7 didn't get any improved version. However, seems like Apple is back to improve with the very latest A8.
Some rumors from Taiwan suggest that this A8X chipset will also be featured in the iPad Air 2. However, the use in iPad Pro is more likely considering the larger screen and bigger needs. iPad Air 2 will also get an increased RAM moving up to 2 GB. The new Air is rumored to be slightly more thinner than the previous model. If you are wondering about the storage options, it is very likely that Apple will keep the 16GB variant intact with the tablet offerings along with the 32GB, 64GB, and the 128GB options. Apple isn't offering the base 16GB model with its iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphones this year.
