The current and final Halo Reach PC flight has been extended by at least one week, developer 343 Industries has announced.
The Reach PC flight kicked off last week and was intended to end yesterday but the final flight has now been extended to investigate several issues that have been reported by those participating in the flight last week. 343 Industries mentions that the flight might eventually end up running longer than another week.
In addition to extending the flight, the development team has announced that a patch for the current flight build is inbound. This patch will address various reported issues. Once rolled out, 343 Industries will release the patch notes.
In case you haven't heard - Flight Three has received an extension. Full details can be found in your email inboxes if you have been invited or in the Insider forums >>> https://t.co/8dwKhacqXi

“We've received a lot of great feedback and gathered a lot of data thus far but we'd like to dig deeper into some of the issues being reported by Halo Insiders”, 343 Industries writes. “To do so, we are extending the current flight duration by at least a week (it may run longer, we'll let you know!) and working on a patch to update the build in the not too distant future (when it's ready).”
As covered earlier, this final flight packs two single player campaign missions alongside various firefight and matchmaking options. Crossplay between the Windows 10 and Steam versions is also supported in this build.
"The primary goals of this flight are to test matchmaking on PC for both the Steam and Windows Store versions", 343 Industries wrote earlier. "This flight will include Crossplay between the two versions and we are excited to see how it goes. We are also looking to gather feedback from players on the updates that have been made."
Halo Reach PC will be the first title being released as part of the phased launch of Halo The Master Chief Collection on PC. The game will also be added to the Collection for Xbox One players at a later date.
