The first insider flight for the Halo Reach PC beta kicked off this weekend, and this Insider build has already been illegally distributed online.

The Reach insider Beta flight build includes the ‘Tip of the Spear’ campaign mission and allows those selected to help the game’s development team to validate the process and pipelines to get a build out to Insiders on Steam at a larger scale. In addition, the beta build allows for player feedback on the current state of mouse and keyboard controls and how the game “feels” on PC.

Unfortunately, the insider build has already been leaked and distributed illegally online. In a new post on the Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries has now pointed out that those who download or play this leaked build, might be banned and excluded from all current and future programs from the developer.

“It has come to our attention that the Halo Insider flight has been illegally distributed online”, the post reads. “If you download or play this illegal copy, we have the right to ban all associated accounts and remove you from all current or future 343 programs. The Microsoft Service Agreement can be found here.”

Halo Reach will be the first of the selected Xbox Halo titles (as part of the Halo Master Chief Collection) to make its way to PC.
