Pixel 10a's in-store availability is not expected until March 05.

After weeks of vacillation on the part of the tech-focused rumor mill between a February or March/April 2026 launch for the Pixel 10a, Google has just released official teasers of its new budget smartphone, announcing that the device will launch on February 18, 2026.

Google has just announced that pre-orders for the upcoming Pixel 10a will go live on February 18. Even so, in-store availability is not expected until March 05.

As we noted in a dedicated post, Evan Blass, a known tipster, recently posted a screenshot of the Pixel 10a's certification for operating on Verizon's network. The screenshot also detailed some of the specs of the upcoming budget offering, which include:

  1. A 6.285-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz
  2. 8GB of RAM, 128GB of base storage
  3. A 5,100mAh battery

We already know of some additional specs of the Pixel 10a from prior leaks:

  1. Dimensions of 153.9 x 72.9 x 9mm
  2. A Tensor G4 SoC, which is the same one used in the Pixel 9a, albeit with a higher clock speed
  3. MSRP of around $499
  4. Obsidian (dark grey), Fog (beige), Lavender (soft purple), and Berry (red) color options

These specs are almost identical to the Pixel 9a's and resemble the budget offering's overall borrowed design language from its previous-gen sibling:

  1. A thick-bezeled, plastic-back design for the Pixel 10a.
  2. The camera bar on the back houses a dual-camera setup.
  3. The Volume key is still located below the power key.
  4. Antenna lines remain visible from lateral angles.
  5. Symmetrical placement of the speaker and microphone voids at the bottom.

As we noted previously, the Pixel 9a is likely to become an immediate bargain upon the launch of the Pixel 10a, creating a sizable demand influx for the older-gen model. On the positive side, Google is expected to adhere to its traditionally strong Pixel selling points, including 7 years of software support.
