With the new Google Pixel 11 series presumably all set for a debut as soon as this August, the supply chain-sourced leaks are picking up their pace, as is typical for the pre-launch stage.

A new report, however, has created substantial turbulence within the heretofore rather staid expectations for the Pixel 11 lineup, disclosing a purported bump in base storage, higher prices, and new color options.

The Google Pixel 11 lineup is apparently saying farewell to the base 128GB storage tier, with material price hikes also in the offing

According to Dealabs, Google is eliminating the base 128GB storage tier and moving the Pixel 11 lineup to the 256GB base storage tier. The search giant is also implementing hefty price hikes for the entire lineup, with a few new color options introduced to lessen the overall impact on consumers. These details include:

  1. The Pixel 11's 256GB variant is presumably priced at €999 in the EU, with the 512GB one priced at €1,129. Do note that the base Pixel 10 entailed a starting price of €899 in the EU.
  2. Also, the base Pixel 11 will be available in Light Sterling (gray), Midnight Haze (black), Fuchsia (pink), Moss (green) colors.
  3. The Pixel 11 Pro's 256GB variant is now priced at €1,199 in the EU, with the 512GB one priced at €1,329, and the 1TB one entailing a price of €1,589. For reference, the base Pixel 10 Pro began retailing for €1,099 in the EU.
  4. The Pixel 11 Pro XL's 256GB variant is reportedly priced at €1,399, with the 512GB variant commanding a price of €1,529, and the 1TB one entailing a tag of €1,789.
  5. The 256GB and 512GB variants of the Pixel 11 Pro and XL will be available in Light Fog (white), Midnight Haze (black), Dune (pink), Pine (green), while their 1TB counterparts will sport a single color option - Midnight Haze (black).
  6. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold's 256GB variant will reportedly entail a price tag of €1,999, while the 512GB variant will be priced at €2,129, and the 1TB variant at €2,389.
  7. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold's 256GB and 512GB variants will sport Midnight Haze (black) and Pine (green) color options, while the 1TB variant will be available only in Midnight Haze (black) option.

We already know that the base Pixel 11 is expected to retain the same dimensions as the Pixel 10 at 152.8 x 72 x 8.5mm. This means that the Pixel 11 will be 0.1mm slimmer than its predecessor, and sport the same thickness as that of the Pixel 9. Do note that Google increased the thickness of the Pixel 10 smartphone by 0.1mm to accommodate Qi2 Pixelsnap magnets.

The device is expected to sport the following specs:

  1. 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen
  2. The Tensor G6 processor
  3. Base storage of 128GB
  4. A 12GB RAM
  5. A 5,000mAh battery

Meanwhile, Google's upcoming Pixel 11 Pro is expected to sport dimensions of 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm, which means that the new near-apex Pixel will be a tad slimmer than its predecessor, while featuring the same 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen.

What's more, as per the device's early CAD renders, the bezels on the Pixel 11 Pro are likely to be somewhat thinner. Also, the smartphone's triple camera setup is now expected to be housed within an all-black camera bar. Do note that a part of the Pixel 10 Pro XL's camera bar was aligned with the body color, resulting in a two-tone look. It might also sport a glowing camera bar outline in what is likely a nod to the rumored 'Pixel Glow' feature.

Finally, the device is expected to sport the following specs:

  1. A 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen
  2. The 7-core Tensor G6 processor
  3. MediaTek M90 modem
  4. Base storage of 256GB
  5. A 12GB or 16GB RAM
  6. A 5,500mAh battery

As such, the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to sport dimensions of 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm, which means that the new apex Pixel would be a tad slimmer than its predecessor, while featuring the same 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen.

The biggest change with the Pixel 11 Pro XL appears at its rear, where the triple camera setup is now housed within an all-black camera bar. In the Pixel 10 Pro XL, a part of the camera bar is aligned with the body color, resulting in a two-tone look. It might also sport the Pixel Glow feature.

The device is also expected to sport the following specs:

  1. A 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen
  2. The 7-core Tensor G6 processor
  3. MediaTek M90 modem
  4. Base storage of 256GB
  5. A 16GB RAM
  6. A 5,500mAh battery

Finally, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is presumably 10.1mm thick when folded and 4.8mm thick in its unfolded state, which, while marginally better than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's thickness of 10.8mm and 5.2mm, respectively, falls way short of the standard now being championed by Samsung - and soon Apple with its upcoming iPhone Fold. For context, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 retains a thickness of just 8.9mm in its folded state and 4.2mm when fully unfurled.

Thankfully, Google appears to have chosen to embed the LED flash within the glass pane of the rear camera bump, reducing its obtrusiveness in the process. To compensate for this rare bit of incremental aesthetic improvement, Google has, of course, chosen to equip the Pixel 11 Pro Fold with huge bezels.

Update: Google is launching the Pixel 11 series on August 12

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has just disclosed that Google will unveil the Pixel 11 series on August 12 at 18:00 ET.
