Google has been nipping at Apple's heels for some time, and today, the company released a new addition to its #BestPhonesForever ads on YouTube. This time, the Pixel is mocking an iPhone over its inability to Circle to Search, a feature originally debuted on the Galaxy S24 and later found its way to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 series, and the ad is certainly hilarious.
Google is proud of circle to search, and the latest ad shows just that
The ad shows a Pixel 8 Pro and an iPhone standing on a table, where the Pixel asks the iPhone about what happened to its place. You'll note in the ad that the iPhone has decided to circle everything. It is later revealed in the ad that the iPhone did it so it could "circle to search it later," you can have a look at the ad below and see how Google is basically making fun of Apple.
The ad certainly has its own charm, but we have to understand that Apple will be introducing a bunch of AI-related features in the future, and we never know if a feature like circle to search might end up on iPhones as well. Meanwhile, Pixel and Galaxy S24 devices are already enjoying it with the Galaxy S23 devices waiting to get the update. Google has managed to have the laugh here, and in marketing, that is what matters the most to many companies.
Circling back to the circle to search, I did not think that the feature would be handy back when it was announced, but I later realized that it actually is a godsend for people who love to Google a lot of things. I mean, if you are looking for a convenient feature that allows you to search for whatever you possibly want, then this feature can work really well, and that too, without any complication that might otherwise come in the way and ruin the experience. It still needs some improvements, and I am confident that it will, but I am more interested in this feature making its way to more affordable devices in the future.
Circle to search is now available on numerous devices. Let us know how your experience with this feature has been so far in the comments below.
