How to Use Circle to Search on iPhone

One of the best features that the Galaxy S24 series debuted with was the circle to search. This is an AI-powered feature that lets you search anything you see on screen by simply drawing a circle around it, and from its looks, it works really well. Sure, there are occasional hiccups, but it never fails to get you the results you are looking for. The feature soon expanded to the Pixel 8 series and is also on the Pixel 7 series. So, we thought it would be best to write down a tutorial that will help you use circle to search on Android without any issues.

Considering how circle to search has become a core feature of Android, it could become widely available to other devices that support AI capabilities. But right now, you can use this tutorial to use this feature on Android devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Pixel 8 series, and Pixel 7 series.

Use circle to search on Android and search for your favorite products in seconds

Now, the good thing is that the circle to search works the same way on all supported devices. This means that you are not going to need separate tutorials for Pixel 8 devices. However, it is still worth noting that although it is enabled by default on Samsung devices, that might not be the case on Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 devices. Go to Settings, search for Hold home to search, and turn it on. This is if you have turned on the three-button navigation. If you are using gesture navigation, then go to Settings and search for Hold handle to search and turn the toggle on.

Now that you are done with all the basics, let's look at how you can use circle to search on Android to make your life easier.

Step 1: Once you have enabled the circle to search, simply find something you want to search for.

Step 2: Now, long press the gesture bar or the home button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: You will be presented with a new overlay, casting over the screen.

Step 4: Simply circle the product you want to search for, and you will get the results in a few seconds.

That is it. You will be able to use circle to search with ease once the feature is available on all the devices that you have. Do keep in mind that the feature does not work on bank apps or other apps that might contain sensitive or confidential information. In its current state, it is pretty handy, but it can actually give you some shoddy results from time to time. However, its overall functionality and application still remain admirable, to say the least.
