The Infinity editions for the second-fastest RTX 50 series GPU are out, featuring two different aesthetics inspired by the same design.
GIGABYTE Officially Launches RTX 5080 INFINITY and INFINITY WOOD; RTX 5070 Series INFINITY to Launch in July
Recently, GIGABYTE introduced a completely new lineup of INFINITY cards in the RTX 50 series. After having launched the AORUS RTX 5090 INFINITY card that sits at over $5,000, the company decided to make more INFINITY GPUs, including the 80 and 70-class RTX 50 cards. In the 80-class, we have two editions in the INFINITY lineup, called AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY and AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY Wood.

These are GIGABYTE's 40th-anniversary GPUs, each inspired by the same design but with a different aesthetic. They are built on the same design as the AORUS RTX 5090 INFINITY, expanding the lineup with the same aerospace turbine-inspired design that brings integrated RGB lighting. The RGB lighting is present in both the inner and outer rings of the engine-like structure, which glows beautifully.
While the RTX 5080 INFINITY edition brings a black color shroud, the RTX 5080 INFINITY Wood uses an off-white color scheme. According to the company, the Wood edition features wood-grain elements and natural textures. However, the core design remains the same and has two big circular fans deployed in a Double Flow Through design. These help in pushing cool air through the heatsink, and thanks to the backplate cutouts, the airflow penetration increases by up to 58%.

Both GPUs offer the innovative airflow design that uses a concealed Overdrive fan, which is present on the other side, silently removing heat from the card. During high loads, the Overdrive fan gets automatically activated and uses a dedicated fan curve to offer additional airflow. That said, these cards also support the Project Stealth series, boasting a power connector at the rear that neatly hides the power cable.
Both RTX 5080 INFINITY and INFINITY Wood are available now, but pricing hasn't been disclosed yet. The RTX 5070 Ti INFINITY and RTX 5070 INFINITY will be launched next month.
