The story begins immediately following the death of Eddard Stark when the player starts as a new Westeros lord or lady. Several characters from Game of Thrones can also be found across the game. Each character comes with their own skill sets and bands of soldiers and followers. Players can their allies and recruit them into their ranks to leverage their influence and knowledge.

The game's objective is to build an impenetrable base, train a victorious army and recruit faithful followers from a pool of iconic characters. As players progress, they must continue to acquire the might, money, and influence needed to take the Iron Throne. Players can also invite friends to raise an army and compete with other lords and ladies to conquer their castles. Upon becoming the lord/lady of the Seven Kingdoms, players will be able to add upgrades. Players can also venture out to explore 30 different types of terrain and weather conditions in Westeros.

Lastly, players will be able to experience their favourite moments from the show and see the story of Game of Thrones unfold in real time. They will also be able to unlock exclusively hidden storylines through a wide variety of PvE missions. You can play the game via any web browser using this link or via their desktop client which can be downloaded here.  Downloading the desktop client will fetch you 280 Diamonds, which can be used in-game as currency. Browser games are still a thing, by the looks of it. If nothing else, the title can serve as a refresher for your GoT lore before the final season of the critically acclaimed TV show hits the airwaves next month.
