Samsung was reportedly preparing for a Galaxy S25 Edge launch in April, but it appears that a lucky content creator has got a hold of the sleek flagship and has decided to show his audience what to expect later in the year. He compares the thickness of the device with his Galaxy Z Fold 6 while also sharing some technical specifications with his audience. Some of the revealed information we knew about for weeks, while others took us by surprise, so let us check out those details right now.
The battery inside the Galaxy S25 Edge will match the base Galaxy S25’s capacity at 4,000mAh; other specifications, such as 12GB RAM, were also spotted
On YouTube, Alexis Garza uploaded a short that will most likely catch the eye of everyone, including Samsung, so there is a small window of opportunity for you to gaze upon the Galaxy S25 Edge before the video gets taken down. The model number of the handset is SM-937U, indicating that this version is destined for the U.S. market and offers 12GB of RAM coupled with 256GB of onboard storage.
When compared to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Korean giant’s current-generation foldable flagship, the Galaxy S25 Edge, appears to be as thick as one-half of the other device, but the company did not always intend for this handset to be exceptionally thin. We previously learned that there were two prototypes being worked on, with Samsung choosing the sleeker version that measured 5.84mm thick as opposed to the one with dimensions of 6.4mm.
With this approach, the company not only compromised on the number of cameras but also the battery capacity. Fortunately, we were genuinely surprised to learn that the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 4,000mAh cell, matching the capacity found in the base Galaxy S25, because previously, we reported that a 3C certification revealed that the device would house a 3,900mAh battery, with support for 25W wired charging. As for the cameras, one unit at the back is a 12MP sensor, while the one on the front sports the same maximum resolution.
Coming to the primary camera, we have reported that the Galaxy S25 Edge will share the same 200MP unit as the more expensive Galaxy S25 Ultra. You can check out the entire specifications gallery above, and assuming the video has not been taken down yet, take a gander at the upcoming flagship.
