Samsung will make potential buyers wait for the Galaxy S25 Edge as the sleek flagship was not a part of the Galaxy Unpacked event. For the most part, teasing the masses means that thousands will look forward to what the company is preparing for April, but during the Galaxy S25 lineup’s announcements, not many details were available for the fourth model to talk about until now. One tipster provides some valuable information about the optics, with one of the biggest similarities between the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 Ultra being that they will share the same camera sensor.
The second ultrawide-angle camera belonging to the Galaxy S25 Edge will be the same sensor as the one present on the base Galaxy S25
Whether we want to debate why Samsung is sticking with a dual-camera array for the Galaxy S25 Edge, @PandaFlashPro has provided some specifications of the ultra-sleek flagship, starting with the camera. Naturally, the Korean giant could not outfit the upcoming handset with all of the best hardware present on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but that does not mean the Galaxy S25 Edge will not share any similarity with Samsung’s top-end offering. It appears that both smartphones will feature the 200MP sensor, delivering crisp image quality as a result.
As for the secondary sensor, the rumor on X states that there will be a 12MP ultrawide-angle unit and the same one on the base Galaxy S25. It is unclear whether Samsung took the 200MP primary shooter from the Galaxy S25 Ultra and used it in the Galaxy S25 Edge, what is stopping it from employing the same 50MP ultrawide-angle camera on the thin flagship? It appears that some executives might be able to chime in, but this approach will likely be taken due to cost constraints. The glass protection is one area where the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 Ultra will not share similar traits.

Where the premium handset ships with Gorilla Armor 2, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be treated to Gorilla Glass Victus 2. As for the actual display, we expect to see a 6.7-inch OLED panel, and for the innards, a previous benchmark leak revealed that the device would be powered by the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, coupled with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM. It will be interesting to see how the Galaxy S25 Edge holds its thermals while flaunting such a design, but we can only bear witness when it officially launches in the second quarter, so stay tuned.
