Beta 5 of macOS 10.14.5, watchOS 5.2.1 and tvOS 12.3 Now Available
Apart from iOS 12.3 beta 5, Apple has released the fifth betas of macOS 10.14.5, watchOS 5.2.1 and tvOS 12.3 as well.
Apple has refreshed its entire beta lineup right now and you can go right ahead and download it all. Starting with macOS 10.14.5 Mojave beta 5, you can download the latest software update straight from System Preferences > Software Updates. Make sure you are connected to WiFi and have saved all your work before proceeding as the installation requires you to restart your Mac.
watchOS 5.2.1 can be downloaded over the air as well, and that’s the only method you have to go with in order to download the fifth beta, obviously. First of all, connect your iPhone to a WiFi network, then place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger. Once that is done, launch the Watch app on your iPhone, the navigate to General > Software Update. Download the fifth beta from this menu.
Last but not the least, tvOS 12.3 beta 5 is available over the air too. Turn on your Apple TV, then go to the Settings app, scroll down to System, then select Software Update. Since tvOS updates are small, therefore it won’t take that long to install. But remember, do not tinker around with the Siri Remote while the update is in progress. Your Apple TV will restart and you’ll be up and running the latest beta in no time.
Though the above updates are all developer-centric, you can download macOS Mojave and tvOS’s latest betas for free from beta.apple.com. Again, like I mentioned in the iOS 12.3 beta 5 article, make sure you download the updates on a device that is not your daily driver, until or unless you feel like going full-on Rambo on a daily basis.
We will keep users updated as more betas and eventually the final build arrives, so stay tuned to our coverage. In the meantime, make sure you drop your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
