Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro are two of the most powerful smartphones with excellent and modern looks
The leak sheds light on both the Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro. The phones will go official on January 8 at CES, and now we have the key specs as well as renders that confirm the design.
The biggest change in the Asus ROG Phone 8 series is that the front no longer has a camera island. Instead, it is replaced with a much more modern-looking hole-punch camera on the front. The phone definitely looks like it is from 2024.
Both Asus ROG Phone 8 devices feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. The display is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and offers up to 2,500 nits peak brightness. The ROG Phone 8 series will sport the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with 12 gigs of LPDDR5X RAM for the base variant and up to 24 gigs for the Pro variant. The storage on both phones is UFS 4.0, which starts from 256 gigs and goes all the way up to 1TB.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 series has also gone through a refresh in terms of the camera system. The primary camera is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890. There is also a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, along with a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom. There is a 32-megapixel camera on the front, too.
Both of the upcoming flagships will be running on Android 14 with ROG UI on top, and the IP68 rating is also there. There is also a headphone jack along with a 5,500 mAh battery with Quick Charge 5.0 support and PD charging up to 65 watts.
