It’s Official: Apple Announces (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 8 & iPhone 8 Plus
After initially launching the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in what several people would have labeled them as three dull color models, we have been graced with the (PRODUCT)RED variants of the company’s latest flagship phone family.
To add to the entire mix, we now have a fourth flavor and looking at how both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus possess a glass back for wireless charging purposes, this version looks absolutely stunning, as you’ll soon see.
iPhone 8 & iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Versions Are Here - Available in 64GB and 256GB Storage Versions with a Black Front
The latest color models have been introduced by Apple in order to give consumers a direction to contribute to the Global Fund and help to bring the newer generation to an AIDS-free era. Both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED look absolutely stunning, primarily because of the new black front and red back finish. The red glass back will increase the overall aesthetics score, but be sure not to drop these handsets because even though they might be durable, glass is no match for the unforgiving pavement when dropped.
To make the deal even sweeter this time around, the new RED color option is available in both 64GB and 256GB color variants so you do not have to burn extra cash for a new color option. Apart from the change in color, there is no other difference related to hardware and features. Both handsets feature the company’s powerful A11 Bionic chipset (hexa-core processor with 2 Monsoon cores and 4 Mistral cores plus in-house GPU solution) along with an improved 12MP rear camera with a F/1.8 aperture (dual-camera for the iPhone 8 Plus).
If you want more battery life, more RAM, and a better performing camera combination, we highly recommend that you go for the 5.5-inch model. It will cost you, but it will definitely be worth it in the end. Also, it should be known that both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are the first commercial smartphones to ever provide support for 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.
Also, like their predecessors, both handsets do not feature a headphone jack so will need to attach your audio peripherals using the ‘Lightning to 3.5mm‘ adapter.
