Pixel Tablet features and price announced.

Shortly after releasing the Pixel Tablet, it seems that Google has finally started paying attention to tablets and the features that they get. So far, Android tablets are not as good when it comes to physical keyboard shortcuts and only have a very small number of shortcuts that are available to use. This might not sound like an issue for some, but if you spend a good chunk of money on a tablet and intend to use it as a computer, having access to many physical shortcuts is important. Well, Android 14 is going to fix that for you.

Android 14 will finally let you use your tablet as a proper computer with all the keyboard shortcuts that you could want

Based on the information uncovered by Mishaal Rahman, Android 14 is going to bring a massive list of keyboard shortcuts that will be usable the minute you connect an external keyboard to a tablet. This means that Google's Pixel Tablet and Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series will actually become a lot better with these keyboard shortcuts.

Now, it is worth noting that Android tablets do have a list of shortcuts that appear when you connect a tablet, but the selection is limited at best, and honestly, it is a shame considering how good these tablets can actually be. Thankfully, Android 14 will fix that. You can have a look at all the shortcuts below:

Truthfully, looking at all the shortcuts, I am convinced that perhaps I should pick up an Android tablet when Android 14 eventually launches on all devices. This is certainly an improvement that Google should have made a long time ago. Still, considering how Pixel Tablet is now out in the market, it makes sense that the search engine giant finally realized that the big screen experience was largely lacking.

It is worth noting that this list of keyboard shortcuts was spotted in the second beta of Android 14, which means that Google could go ahead and make some changes to how these shortcuts work and even add more. But we will be sure to keep you posted as we get to know more about what is coming to the latest Android version and what is not.

If you want to install Android 14 on your Pixel devices, you can go ahead and do so by going to this link, downloading the right files, and then following this guide right here. You will not have any issues whatsoever in the process.
