Reports indicate that only a limited number of AMD Radeon RX 9070 GPUs will be available at their MSRP at launch, while the stocks coming later will be more expensive.
AMD's Board Partners are Reportedly Increasing the Prices of RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, Starting with the Second Stock
AMD's RX 9070 Series launch started to look impressive when the company announced that these GPUs will have wide availability. However, it seems as if this situation will hardly remain for a few days. Even though the official price tags for the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 are more appealing than the RTX 5070 cards, the cards will likely see a noticeable price increase in the coming days, similar to the latter.
As per a Swedish Retailer, INET, AMD's board partners and retailers will sell the GPUs for a higher price than MSRP after the first batch is out of stock. As of now, many retailers have received their respective inventory to sell on the launch, and we have heard how some retailers have received over 1000 units of each model. Looks like the availability is far better compared to the RTX 50 series GPUs.
However, since demand is quite high, and we don't have enough cards, AIBs and retailers are likely to benefit from this situation by increasing the prices. INET says that once it has sold all of its RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPUs at launch, the inventory will be restocked after a short delay, but this time, the GPUs will see a price increase.
It is unclear as to how much price increment we can expect, but it will be noticeable. We did see some sellers listing the GPUs for up to $849, which is a staggering $250 higher than the official MSRP of the RX 9070 XT and going what INET has notified, the RX 9070 XT will easily touch $800 or above with the custom AIB editions.
At the moment, vendors like XFX, PowerColor, ASRock, and Sapphire offer some base models at MSRP, while Gigabyte and ASUS have higher-priced GPUs. But once the vendors are done selling the already existing inventory, they will ship the second batch at higher prices.
We literally have around 2000 units from Sapphire in stock, 1000 from Powercolor and 1000 from Asrock, I feel stock will be fine for a few days.
MSRP is capped quantity of a few hundred, so prices will jump once those are sold through.

This has also been confirmed by Overclockers UK, which indicated that the prices will increase after a few days when the GPUs are sold out. The launch will reportedly be fine as per the reports, but stability will only be achieved after some time, particularly when NVIDIA RTX 50 cards are also available in decent quantities.
