Galaxy S23 FE Releasing Later This Year And Will Be Available In Select Markets

The Galaxy S23 FE is the one device that has made us scratch our heads numerous times. There have been conflicting reports about its existence or lack thereof. Still, there is some newly surfaced information that sheds a bit more light on what Samsung is planning to do with the "affordable flagship." I must say, the uncovered information is actually interesting because it gives the device a character that I believed it did not have.

The Galaxy S23 FE could end up saving the Fan Edition series or killing it

According to information obtained by SamMobile, the Galaxy S23 FE is most certainly happening, and it will be released in Q3 2023 in select markets. However, the limited availability will only last until the fourth quarter because, at that point, Samsung will go for a wider release in the fourth quarter of 2023.

More information has revealed that the Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by the infamous Exynos 2200 w/ the Xclipse 920 GPU. So, hopefully, we are getting some performance boost here. Now, the choice to go with an almost 2- year old CPU might be an odd decision, but considering how Samsung has had a lot of time to make improvements, I am hoping that the phone is not as big of a disaster as the Galaxy S22 models that sported the Exynos 2200 chipset, in the first place.

Honestly, giving my two cents on the Galaxy S23 FE, I feel like this device could make or break the entire Fan Edition series. Why? Well, looking back in history, the entirety of the FE series has been a hit-and-miss. The Galaxy S20 FE was a massive success and the start of something truly revolutionary for Samsung. The ill-fated Galaxy S21 FE failed to make the same mark made by its predecessor, and the Galaxy S22 FE never really materialized. If the company is to bring another Fan Edition, the pricing will have to be competitive, to the point that it can rival other phones in the same price bracket in terms of value and performance.

Whatever the case might be, the Galaxy S23 FE has some massive shoes to fill, and hopefully, we will be getting some more updates on what's to come in the coming days. Let's see when Samsung comes out with this device, and we will be sure to keep you posted about any developments.
