The Xbox Games Showcase returns to the Summer Games Fest season this year, but while the format remains the same, everything at the company has changed. With a new leadership team, led by head Asha Sharma, and the goal of reclaiming fans' goodwill following the disastrous "Everything is an Xbox" campaign, this year's showcase could mark a new beginning for the entire brand.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will broadcast live on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.

Runtime
While Microsoft has not explicitly locked in a final broadcast duration, based on previous years' events, the main Xbox Games Showcase is expected to run approximately 1 hour.
However, the showcase will be followed by a Gears of War: E-Day Direct, offering a dedicated deep dive into the next entry in the series launching later this year.
What to Expect
Although the only game originally confirmed for this year's Xbox Game Showcase is Gears of War: E-Day, on May 29, Xbox's Matt Booty confirmed that another look at Fable, which has been delayed to February 2027, will come during the show. Updates on Halo: Campaign Evolved and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 are also expected.
Interestingly, a recent update to the Xbox Game Pass "Coming Soon" category may have revealed a few more games that will receive updates during the June 7 broadcast. These include:
- Clockwork Revolution
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
- Witchbrook
- Tropico 7
- Armatus
- There Are No Ghosts At The Grand
Beyond these, it is reasonable to expect plenty of third-party reveals. Following its reveal during last year's event, Persona 4 Revival is very likely to receive a new update during the broadcast, with a first proper look and possibly a release date, which may not be too far off. To give the spotlight entirely to the remake of the fourth entry in the series, it is unlikely Persona 6 will be announced during the event.
Unfortunately, those expecting more information on the Xbox Project Helix next-generation system will be disappointed. Xbox's Mat Booty set expectations on the showcase, saying that it will focus only on games.
