DOOM: The Dark Ages' expected DLC expansion was finally revealed during today's Xbox Games Showcase 2026 as part of Summer Game Fest. The expansion, titled Revelations (no relation to Final Fantasy VII Remake Revelation), will arrive on July 7, 2026, and add a whole new campaign for players to rip and tear through.
It'll be available on all platforms at launch, and players who went ahead and bought the Premium Edition of The Dark Ages when it arrived last year, which was the biggest launch a DOOM game has ever had, with 3 million players jumping in right away.
If you didn't buy the Premium Edition, then you can grab this DLC for an additional $19.99 USD, or upgrade to the Premium Edition for $34.99 USD.
"Wounded and betrayed, the Slayer is thrust into a merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths and forging new strength with the help of a mysterious ally. He must ascend from the prison of his mind and fight an abomination of the gods to set his followers on the path to freedom," a description of the expansion's campaign reads on a Bethesda blog post.
Wccftech's Chris Wray was quite enamoured with The Dark Ages when it arrived in May 2025, giving it an 8.5/10 in his review, saying, "DOOM: The Dark Ages is a rip-tearing fun ride that reigns in some of the excesses of DOOM Eternal, bringing the gameplay closer to DOOM (2016), while adding meat to the story in a long, meaty, campaign across over twenty stages. Put simply, if you liked DOOM and DOOM Eternal, you will like this, even if there are a few minor missteps."
